So we all have perfected our downward facing dog, learned the sun salutation, and have a wardrobe full of amazing yoga leggings and the best yoga mat in town.
And now what?
We have a new craze to talk about, something that we have been practicing and researching for some time now, and that we absolutely want to share with you.
Face yoga has been making a name for itself as a beauty treatment. Dubbed “ facelove”, face yoga it’s free, feels good, makes you feel amazing and makes your skin look better.
We have 57 muscles in our face, head and neck. Some exercises promote toning and smoothing the skin. Others promote relaxation, helping you avoid expression lines and overall well being , eliminating stress and tension headaches.
The face massage techniques will increase blood flow, allow nutrients to reach the skin cells, release tension and help firm skin, giving you glowing and vibrant skin. Throw in a little acupressure, and you will have the best skin you have had in years.
As with most things worth having, commitment and perseverance is key. But don't despair, we only talk about 15 minutes a day, for a minimum of 5 days a week.
But face yoga it’s deeper than that. It is about feeling good about us, truly learning to love the skin we are in, using a bunch of natural techniques.
Stick to it and you will see noticeable results after 2 weeks. Practice anywhere, anytime, but to create a better experience we recommend you to practice at the beginning or at the end of the day, with a clean face, and having applied a moisturizer or serum.
For best results use our jade face roller at the end of the session. We keep ours in the fridge for added benefits. Jade rollers increase natural drainage, encouraging the lymphatic system’s natural detoxification process by boosting the circulation and blood flow. help tone muscles
An excellent exercise to start is a tension releaser, especially if you practice at the end of a long day looking down at a computer. This will help you notice the areas of your face where you hold tension, and teach you how to let it go.
With general exercises, and other targeting specific areas, you can tailor a session to best suit your needs.
